The Neenah Public Library is located on 240 East Wisconsin Avenue.
- The history of the Neenah Library reaches back to 1882.
- The land for the current library location was donated by Mrs. Theda Clark Peters. Mrs. Peters also donated funds for the original building construction along with many other like-minded citizens and Andrew Carnegie.
- The library building opened on Sunday, January 24, 1904: the hours were 2-5 p.m.
- The original "Carnegie" library underwent renovation and expansion in 1964.
- The current library building's construction was initiated in 1998.
- The current building opened and was dedicated in June 2000.
- Besides providing typical library resources, such as research materials and media rentals, the Neenah Public Library has also become a meeting place for clubs and organizations, a site for vocational and hobby classes, art galleries, movie showings, concerts and musical performances, and other recreational and educational opportunities. (Please note, offerings vary due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic - please visit the Neenah Library website for current offerings).
